About Spider-Man

Spider-Man is one of the most popular and commercially successful superheroes. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, he first appeared in the anthology comic book Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962) in the Silver Age of Comic Books.

Spider-Man's origin story depicts him as teenager Peter Parker who gets spider-related abilities from a bite from a radioactive spider. These abilities include clinging to surfaces, superhuman strength and agility, and detecting danger with his "spider-sense".

The Spider-Verse concept expands this idea across multiple dimensions, introducing alternate versions of Spider-Man with different backgrounds, genders, and even species, all connected by the common theme of great power and responsibility.
